Of all the places in the world

The coolest and cutest places in Japan are not always the ones you find in the travel guides.
I enjoy going to a big, fancy shrine as much as the next person, but to be honest, i've found much nicer places in my own back yard.

A few days ago, after Allan finished touchup on a client from last year, we hopped on our bikes and rode to the park to have lunch.
It was such a beautiful day and we had a nice lunch surrounded by people walking their dogs, a man playing folk songs on his guitar, turtles and fat kids trying to catch goldfish from the pond.

On our way home, we rode through and area we hadn't been in before, and stumpled upon some really cool shrines and graveyards.

I don't always agree with manipulating plants, but this tree was pretty cool
Allan and the new camera
My camera is not as fancy, and doesn't appreciate sunny days
Buckets
Right after i took this, a couple of old guard dogs scared the crap out of me
Rain
Graveyard, very quiet, but not creepy
